CPRE Level 2 Elicitation Certification Training

Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering - Advance Level (CPRE-AL) or CPRE Level 2 in Elicitation is a new certificate by International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB), Germany.

The most important single part of building a software system is deciding precisely what to build. No other part of the conceptual work is as difficult as establishing the detailed technical requirements. No other part of the work so cripples the resulting system if done wrong. No other part is as difficult to rectify later. The inability to produce complete, correct, and unambiguous software requirements is still considered the major cause of software failure today.

In the highly complex and fast-evolving systems, project success depends on the ability to elicit clear, consistent, and verifiable requirements across multiple stakeholders and disciplines. This training equips professionals to engage deeply with domain experts, actively listen to diverse perspectives, and ensure requirements are high quality, complete, traceable, and aligned with safety, regulatory, and system-level constraints. Participants will develop robust elicitation strategies, effective conflict-resolution approaches, and a deep understanding of requirement sources and techniques essential for delivering successful projects.

The IREB CPRE Requirements Elicitation is an advanced level 2/3 course designed for requirements engineers, Business Analyst, Product Owner and for all who are ready to explore the possibilities to enhance their skills in requirement elicitation.
